Traditional Transportation vs. Modern Day Automobiles
By: Eric W and Nick W A3
Paragraph:
Modern day transportation is overpowering the traditional transportation in India. According to Hindustin Times Ta Ta Motors has just purchased Jaguar and Land Rover in India. This shows that India is getting more involved with the automobile industry. Which means that more cars will be on the streets than elephants, rickshaws, and bicylces. Some Indians do not want to purchase modern mode of transportation because they can be costly, they can pollute the air, and they want to keep India traditional. According to Trek Earth tourist only use elephants to go to the attractions. Locals don't use elephants because they are not practical and cars are more reliable. This shows how modern day transportation is overpowering traditional modes of transportation in India.
